Edit your website anywhere, anytime direct from your Android phone or tablet

GP Web Solutions for Android provides one-tap access to the most common things you use such as creating a new post, uploading photos or editing a page stats.

Post editor

The post editor allows you to edit your content with ease. The formatting toolbar above the keyboard allows for easy rich text editing and adding links. You can even add media content wherever you like and edit the Title, Caption, Placement and Size of images. The editor also is full screen, so you can see as much of the content as possible while editing.

Tablet Support

The app will reconfigure itself when used on a tablet to make the most of the extra screen space. When you’re viewing Posts and Pages, you’ll see a scrolling list of items on the left, with a detail view on the right.

Installing GP Web Solutions for Android

  1. On your phone, open this page (http://www.gpwebsolutions.co.uk/android)
  2. On your phone, click this link to download the installer.
  3. Wait for the file to download
  4. Tap “gpws-android-signed.apk”
  5. If “Install Blocked” press Settings, if not go to
    Step 8, other proceed to the next step
  6. Check Unknown sources
  7. Press OK and repeat Step 4
  8. Press Install
  9. Press Open

 

Which Android devices will this work with?

The application will work on all phones and tablets that are running Android version 2.1 (eclair) or higher.

I get an error about not having XML-RPC access to my website?

You may not have it enabled, send us an email at webteam@gpwebsolutions.co.uk and we will activate the service for you.

Adding my website is taking a long time or times out. How do I fix that?

Adding a blog is dependent on the speed of your Internet connection, so if you have a very weak signal or a slow EDGE connection, try again when you are in 3G or Wi-Fi mode.
